கருணா மயி
கண்ணனுர் சோதரி
சமய காரிணி
சமயபுரேஸ்வரி !

எல்லை காவல் மாரி
எல்லாம் உன்னை சாரி
இல்லை என்பதில்லை என்பார்
உன்னை சரண் அடையும் கோடி !

செந்தூர குங்குமம் உனது வர்ணம்
சேவகனை காப்பது உனது எண்ணம்
பூச்சொரிதல் பூசிரித்தல் அத்தனையும்
உன் புன்னகைக்கு ஈடாகுமா !

கண்ணில் நீர் வர செய்தாய்
கவலையற்ற ஆனந்தத்தால்
கண் மூடின பின்பும்
மண் காத்திடும் தாய் நீ !
