O Masala Dosa, thou crispy delight,
Thy taste, a symphony of flavors unite.
Born in South India's land of spices,
A culinary marvel that entices.
From humble origins, thou didst rise,
A gift to taste buds, a grand surprise.
With rice and lentils, thou art made,
A batter fermented, in tradition laid.
Thou cometh forth upon the griddle's heat,
A golden treasure, a feast to greet.
Thy surface thin and lacy fair,
Conceals within thy filling rare.
Spiced potatoes, a savory treat,
Enwrapped in thy crepe-like sheet.
A marriage divine of spice and starch,
Awakens senses with every march.
Thy tangy chutneys, a perfect pair,
Coconut, tamarind, a flavorsome affair.
And sambar's embrace, a warming potion,
Completes the feast with utmost devotion.
Thou art a tale of culinary art,
A history etched with love from the start.
From humble street food to tables grand,
Thy popularity spreads across the land.
In bustling cities and towns afar,
Thou art a favorite, a shining star.
In diners and restaurants, thou dost reign,
A dish beloved, that will never wane.
O Masala Dosa, thou art divine,
A culinary masterpiece, so fine.
With every bite, a journey I roam,
In thy taste, I find my home.
