Mountains stand unmoving — niśchala
Mountains stand unmoving — niśchala
yet the silence within them hums.
Trees remain rooted — achala
yet their leaves converse with the wind.
High mountain lakes rest in perfect stillness,
yet answer every breeze with a gentle wave.
Stillness is not muteness.
It is awareness at rest.
Niśchala is the quiet within
that neither withdraws from life
nor resists it—
but listens, responds,
and remains whole.
To be still within
is not to be absent,
but to be in dialogue with the universe.
