Agra-haram —
the first garland around the temple’s sacred presence.

At the periphery of the Lord’s abode lived those blessed souls who offered their lives in service — through prayer, learning, ritual, discipline, and quiet duty.

They did not merely live near the temple; they lived for the temple.

The temple was the heart.
The agraharam was its garland.
