Purpose and Benefits
* This mantra is chanted to appease Lord Shani, who is known as the giver of justice and the dispenser of the results of one's good and bad actions (karma).
* Reciting the Shani Maha Mantra is believed to help in overcoming life's difficulties and troubles, counteracting the negative influences of Shani in one's horoscope, and bringing good fortune and prosperity

Saturn, known as Shani in Vedic astrology, is a fascinating planet with significant influence both astronomically and astrologically.

Astronomical Correlation:
•   Position and Orbit: Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and is the second largest in the Solar System. It has an extensive ring system, which makes it unique and easily recognizable.
•   Orbit and Rotation: It takes about 29.5 years to orbit the Sun and has a very slow rotation, completing one rotation in about 10.5 hours.

Astrological Correlation:
•   Symbolism: Saturn is often associated with discipline, responsibility, and karma. It represents time, structure, and the lessons we learn through hardships.
•   Influence: In astrology, Saturn is known as a teacher or taskmaster, encouraging growth through challenges and perseverance. It is linked with the concept of karma, teaching us life lessons that lead to growth and maturity.
•   House and Sign: Saturn rules the signs of Capricorn and Aquarius, and it governs the 10th house (career, public life) and the 11th house (gains, aspirations) in a natal chart.

So, Saturn’s role is to bring structure, discipline, and sometimes challenges that ultimately lead to growth and stability.

Born of Sun, this planet has powerful influence on life on earth. It’s the counter energy to that of the Sun. Like the two aspects of a magnet.

No 8 in numerology represents Saturn and it’s influence in delivering justice dharma ( the karma Phala of ones thoughts words and deeds) is significant.
